Pearl Harbor Tour - A Historical Look Back At The Past

Hawaii is not only known for its scenic charm but also for its historical past. Pearl Harbor tour is a must when people come to enjoy in Hawaii. Pearl Harbor on Oahu, has witnessed history and stands today as a remembrance of the tragedy of World War II. On the fateful day of 7th December 1941 the naval force of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor which was the American naval base. The events that followed were disastrous as 188 US Navy aircraft were destroyed; numerous US servicemen were killed and wounded. This particular tour will be exciting as it will help you to relive history and understand the facts better.

In your tour you should not miss the Pacific Aviation Museum. In this museum you can see different types of Japanese as well as American planes that were used during the World War II. Here you can also learn how the Japanese aerially invaded Pearl Harbor and how the American soldiers fought them back. You can also visit the Fort Shafter which is the oldest fort that you can find on Oahu, the third largest island of Hawaii. As a tribute to the American soldiers who died during the attack you can visit the Punchbowl National Cemetery.
