The Adventures of Mountain Biking

For a while now, mountain biking has been the ultimate adventure interest of all age groups. If you have ever heard someone say, "It is as simple as riding a bike" then it was surely not about mountain biking, on the rocks and through the tough, technical trails.. If you are a beginner, it is very important for you to feel the adventure not only in your heart, but in your mind too, and that's why mountain biking considered a serious mental sport. You need to be physically and mentally tough for this sport as you may be biking on some of the most difficult tracks in the most hostile climatic and environmental conditions. That is the whole essence of being a mountain biker.

To begin with this amazing challenge, you need a sturdy bike and a helmet. Your mountain bike needs to be strong to withstand the huge wear and tear of riding tough trails, and it should have wider, thicker and knobbier tires. The best bike will have front, and rear suspensions to absorb the bumps and to allow the tires to stick to the ground for better control of the mountain bike.

Once you are geared up with the strongest bike and safest helmet let's now explore the top three mountain bike locations for beginners.

1. Moab Utah

This location is based in the Western United States and is hyped as having the highest and greatest mountain trails and terrain. The variety of trails available here promises a fantastic time to bikers of any level. Moab's Slickrock trails are the most suitable for beginners. There are countless options like Klondike Bluffs and Intrepid Trail System offer technically easy rides. The other moderately technical options may include Sovereign and Amasa. No matter what your level is, it is important to keep in mind that you will be riding in the desert. The heat, sweat and climatic humidity may lead to heat related illness. So, come prepared with ample water stock.

2. Fruita, Colorado

Located in the western Colorado, Fruita is a high desert. It has to offer miles of most amazing experience with gigantic views of Grand Valley Basin. However, the steep climb, chute and ladders are for intermediate to expert level bikers, but beginners can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Fruita while peddling and spinning on the 18 road trails.

3. Asheville, North Carolina

The beautiful Asheville town situated between Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains have a load of natural beauty, but the real excitement of downtown biking terrain attracts many visitors. The Pisgah mountain offers energetic mountain biking. The single track weaves of mountain trails past waterfalls and open up to the meadows. Very close to this, hundreds of miles of fun filled mountain biking experience for beginners are offered by DuPont states forest. The trails of DuPont forest are a mix of sandy and gripping granite soil that make it easy and suitable for beginner's adventurous biking experience.
