Electrolux Gas Ranges

February 20, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 229

Electrolux gas ranges are extremely beautiful and very functional. If you like the Electrolux brand and you're in the market looking at gas range reviews than sticking with Electrolux is certainly a fine idea.

What I like most about Electrolux's line of appliances is that they are very modern looking and stylish. Add in the fact that the build quality is pretty good and you've got yourself a winner.

When looking at any gas range there are several things that you should check out before you buy. The first is how many burners does it have and what kind are they? Traditionally, ranges have four burners, but some larger models include a fifth middle burner that can be used with a griddle as well. Griddles are extremely useful for cooking pankakes or doing some indoor barbecuing.

All gas ranges have a variety of different BTU's. Generally, you'll have two burners that are lower BTU's and two burners that are higher BTU's. If you routinely boil water look for a burner that has at least 15,000 BTU's as that will keep the recovery time low when boiling things.

Additionally, you should also make sure that the range that you choose has sealed gas burners. Most mid to high end ranges have sealed burners and for cleaning purposes it's extremely useful to have them. They make cleaning the stove top up a breeze.

Next up you can take a look at the oven features. Generally, if you do a lot of baking you're going to want a bigger oven. You should also decide whether or not you need a convection oven as well. The convection oven sure does become useful around the holidays.

If you like your oven to be cleaned easily than you should look for what's called concealed burners. Basically, that means that the burners don't stick out into the oven (think electrical elements in an older oven). For anybody who does even a little bit of baking this will make your life a lot easier.

Of course, what would a range be without all the extra features that they decide to throw in. Personally, I'd do a check and make sure they cover the basics like oven lights, clock and timer. Unless you like playing around with the other settings you are most likely never going to use them.

As long as you follow these few tips you should pick out the perfect Electrolux range for yourself.
