You Don't Need More Traffic to Grow Your Coaching Business

April 11, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 142

That's right - you don't need more traffic. Here's an example - let's say you have 500 visitors a month and you are making $100 a month.

If you increased traffic by 10 times, you would have 5000 visitors a month - and only making $1000 a month.

But imagine if instead you were to increase the efficiency of your sales process instead so that on 500 visitors, you turn 3% of them (15) into long term $200 a month clients?

In 3 months you would have 45 clients paying $200 a month. That is $9000 a month on the SAME traffic.

Now, maybe at that point, you decide to increase traffic. And since you have the money coming in, you can easily buy more traffic. So THEN you increase traffic from 500 to 5000 - and can you imagine what would happen to your revenue?

Look, I know you have to have SOME traffic. But traffic alone probably isn't your problem. Conversion is. If you don't have a clear conversion path that works you don't have a business. You are just playing around. You might THINK you are doing all the right things, but you aren't.

None of it matters if your conversion path isn't clear. You must have a predictable conversion path from the first time someone visits your page, to the first email he gets from you, to the 10th email he gets from you, to the sales letter he reads, the followup email you send, all the way to the point he signs up to work with you or buy from you.

Each piece of your system must convert to the next step. Whether that is to build the relationship that leads to the trust that leads to a future purchase, or that is a small step like downloading a white paper or getting on the phone with you to ask questions, or that is a small purchase so someone can try you out before buying coaching from you.

Repeat: you must have a clear conversion path from the time someone becomes a visitor and first comes to your site to the time he enrolls in your program. And your coaching sales letter or information product sales letter must have a consistent conversion rate over time. If it does not, you cannot accurately scale your traffic for more revenue. When someone visits your first page, you need to know what each of the pages and actions are that he will take over the next 10 days.

Your conversion path needs to be as clear - and I can help you achieve that.
