What Is a VA?

April 18, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 170

A VA can provide you with services from contact management to bookkeeping. They are there to work, not for you, but with you to help you maintain a better work environment. What I think that confuses people is the word "Virtual". Being virtual just describes how the professional can administer services utilizing today's technology such as, the Internet, fax, email, etc. A VA uses online tools to help keep you on track with online calendar and scheduling management. VA's come in different niches, such as; Real Estate, Consulting, Marketing, and so on. Depending on your business needs, there is a VA out there for you.

So, you ask "How can a VA help me". The ways in which a VA can help you and your business depends solely on what your business needs are. To help narrow down the possibilities, these are a few ways in which a VA can help you succeed!

  1. A VA can assist you in freeing up your time by servicing your marketing needs. which will increase your client base. They also can handle your public relations in helping with your social media and spreading the word about your business.
  2. Many VA's niche are in graphic and web design. Once you choose a VA to work with, they will have known your business ins and outs to help you prepare for a better website, fliers, business cards or media kits. If there is a VA that can't handle web design they can refer you out to their professional vendors.
  3. A Virtual Assistant can utilize tools such as, Prezi to make your next presentation look professional to promote your business.
  4. A Virtual Assistant can provide proofing, editing, and typing of all your correspondence or manuscripts. Allowing a more professional look to all your media communications.
  5. A Virtual Assistant can do all your bookkeeping and pay your bills and accounts online. That's one important task you won't have to worry about so that you can work on what's more important for your business or spend more family time.
  6. Have an event coming up? A VA can help plan your next business seminar or event. When the burden of event planning is taken over by a professional VA, you can believe the event will be more enjoyable.
  7. You can save money and time because a VA works only on an "as needed basis" and only when you have work. Without benefits, equipment or supplies to worry about, your clients only pay for the work completed.
  8. A VA works remotely from their own office so you save on office space and overheads because a VA works as an independent contractor.
  9. The worry of hiring an employee or searching through a temporary staff company will be removed because hiring a VA can save you time.
  10. A VA can manage your schedules, your appointments, your online calendar and make running your business efficiently and effectively.
