Get Your Website Found In Google And Other Search Engines

There are a number of companies that claim they can get your site listed in Google within 24 hours. They can. Getting you listed is easy. Getting found by prospective customers is the real problem.

Here is the problem. When a prospect enters a few search words in Google they don't find your site. Usually millions of results will be listed under those same search words. An example is the words, "red tape cutting," produces 15,800,000 results.

I won't use the old saw about finding a needle in a hay stack. It is possible to find a needle in a hay stack. Your website listing can be down 5,000,000 listings. To get down to it could take a hundred years of next page, next page on and on. Therefore it is not possible for anyone to find your site. Your website must be more than just listed.

Of course there are exceptions to this. Searching for unusual products and services will have fewer listings. Also if you enter your site address (URL) your site will come up if it has actually been listed.

To be found, you must not only be listed, you must also have a web presence. Building web presence can be easier than it seems to be.

Getting listed is the first step to getting found in search engines. Developing back links to your site is second and extremely important. A back link is a link that connects to your website from another website. Search engines scour the entire net with bots viewing websites. The more back links you have that lead to your site the more often the search engine's bots will be directed back to you. The more often they find you the higher your listing will be in the search results.

One of the best ways to get listed in search engines and develop a back link is to write and have an article published in The first time I had one of my article published two things happened. Placing ads online where your ads get listed in search engines is another way to improve your exposure. Your ads not only get you listed in search engines they bring customers to you directly. One item advertised will get you listed once. Twenty items advertised individually will get you listed twenty times. When a prospect enters the name of your product or service into a search engine, your ad is what they find. Ergo, you have sales.
