When you were a child did you ever dream of having a huge collection of golden Age comic books? If so, I bet you realized that it would be next to impossible to make that dream a reality for a number of reasons.

1. Golden age comics are very hard to find. They are rare and therefore not easily obtained.

2. Golden age comics are very expensive. Even if you did find them the cost of purchasing golden age comics is astronomical. The most basic rule of supply and demand is that rare items cost more. especially when they are in high demand.

But cheer up! NOW YOU CAN GET ALL THE GOLDEN AGE COMICS YOU WANT FOR JUST PENNIES A COPY. HOW? DIGITAL COMICS! THAT'S RIGHT. NOW YOU CAN BUY COMICS THAT YOU CAN READ ON YOUR COMPUTER.

Each DVD can hold up hundreds of comic books in CBR or PDF format. Most vendors supply you with the viewing software right on the DVDs along with the comics.

You can now read your favorite comics on DVD right on your computer. Imagine going on vacation and bringing 10,000 comic books along to read in a tiny case you can put right in your shirt pocket!

Some of the great titles that are available include such great comics as Captain Marvel Adventures. You can get every issue of this amazing series for just $9.95 plus shipping. That's 155 comics featuring the adventures of young Billy Batson, who utters the magic name of the wizard "SHAZAM" and is instantly transformed into Captain Marvel.

Besides Captain Marvel, Fawcett also published Whiz Comics, also featuring Captain Marvel, and another related comic title Captain MArvel, Jr. Cap Jr. also appeared in Master Comics along with other heroes like Bullet Mqan. Then there was Mary Marvel and Wow Comics which also featured Mary Marvel stories.

Then there's Plastic Man who actually appeared regularly in two separate titles from Quality Comics, a now defunct comic book publisher. The titles he appeared in were Plastic Man and Police Comics.

For those who like war type stories there's Black hawk. He also was published originally by Quality Comics. His original title began with issue number nine because it had been titled Uncle sam Quarterly for its first eight issues, and formerly featured the "Captain America-esque" super-hero by that name.

Blackhawk also apeared in Military Comics. A title that was e-titled "Modern Comics after about 44 issues.

Other titles for the super hero fan include the Black Terror and Exciting Comics.
