Great Coffee Gift Ideas

April 11, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 198

Sometimes it can be difficult for coming up with new and exciting gifts to give to loved ones, family, coworkers and friends. Often times, edible gifts are a great idea, but some may be watching their calories. When looking for a new and exciting gift idea, I think coffee gifts are some of the best around! These can be quite inexpensive and the result is often quite lovely and of course, delicious!

Coffee gifts can range in price from under $10 to as elaborate and grand as you want them to be! Every Christmas the company I work for has a secret Santa gift exchange. Each person draws a name from the hat and then whoever you pull, is the person you shall buy a gift for. As we work for the state, and do not make a lot of money, the cap on the cost of the gifts is usually $10 or $15. This the perfect opportunity to purchase a lovely coffee gift card to Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or another mom and pop coffee shop as a gift. I like to pick up the $10 gift card and add a couple sample bags of flavored coffee beans to go with the gift card. It is a lovely gift and under $15!

If you are looking for something a little more elaborate, or special, think about giving a gourmet coffee gift basket. This is a great gift for spouses, siblings, best friends and other close loved ones. I like to pick up a nice wicker basket at the local craft shop and stuff it full of an assortment of coffee-related goodies. This is a great gift because you can make it as grandiose as you'd like and you also get to use some creativity!

After you have purchased the basket (or a pretty platter can be used) comes the really fun part - the stuffing o the basket. This is where your creativity can shine! The contents are the most delicious part and deciding what to fill the basket with can be a tough decision. I always like to put a pound or two of gourmet coffee beans as the basis of the basket. After that I like to stuff it with some fun accessories, such as a cute mug, delicious baked goodies, fancy sugar and some sweet syrup.

The best part of giving a coffee gift is that fact that you know it will be put to good use!
