The EASIEST Way to Build a Coaching Business From Scratch (100% Free Traffic)

Q: How hard is it to launch a coaching business online? What is the best traffic source for coaches, consultants, teachers, trainers and online mentors? Do I need to spend thousands of dollars on expensive PPC ads, or Facebook marketing or waste weeks and weeks on Twitter to get clients?

In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at some of the most common questions people of PASSION have about sharing their gifts with the world, and cover some common myths and misconceptions about launching a coaching business online as well. The EASIEST Way to Build a Coaching Business Online?

My favorite approach is actually a hybrid of article or content marketing... where each and every piece of content you create is designed to build your community, which in turn, helps create clients. (and cash flow)

For example, I've written over 6000 articles myself, as of today... that have generated many MILLIONS of readers and in far too many niches, pen names, product promotions and industries to count. The most successful of these content marketing campaigns ALWAYS have one thing in common. They build my list, my readership and my subscribers. (and NEVER focus on sales at the beginning of the sequence, instead I care about CONVERSATION, and contribution over cash and "conversion")

The only sure fire way I know of that guarantees you'll be successful as a coach?

I promise you, this works just about 100% of the time... without fail. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but trust me... it's not, and you CAN do this if you apply yourself.

Write 5-7 400 word articles every day in your area of expertise. Don't worry about writing a manifesto, or a treatise, simply cover one element or area that you have experience or expertise and submit that article to a high volume content directory. (much like the one you are most likely reading this on right now)

Direct those that are interested in learning more to a short landing page where you ask for their name and email address in exchange for something that has value. Maybe a short coaching session by email. Maybe a short PDF. Maybe a password protected blog post you've written. It makes no difference, it just needs to WORK! (and if it doesn't, you simply change the inducement or offer until you get 25% of your readers to sign up)

Once folks are on your list, if you follow up with an email sequence that is focused on contribution, and building your blog, brand, community and conversation, you WILL convert about 2-10% of your readership into clients and customers. (depending on your offer of course, 2% being low - 10% being high)

If you are a service oriented professional and have a $997 60 day coaching program, you only need several hundred people to earn your first 10k.

Of course, just because people don't actually convert into clients does NOT mean every single reader is not valuable for your business. As a matter of fact, some of my BEST subscribers are my best evangelists... and while they may not want to work with me one on one, or can't afford to, or whatever it may be, they often are the most active and aggressive in sharing my content with THEIR social communities, helping my business, blog, brand and bank account grow in ways i certainly could never do on my own (and of course, giving me greater and greater inspiration to want to share more free content as well, which hopefully, if I'm serving others as well as they serve me, creates a community of creative contribution for all).
