What Happens When You Fail to Pay Child Support

April 22, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 190

For many men, the breakdown of their marriage not only results in a change in their lives, but also a dramatic change to their financial stability and future. As part of a family, the male would, in many cases, provide financially for their family, and although they may now be split-up, it is still seen as the accepted practice, that the male should continue to prove financially for the well-being of the family as a whole.

Child-support payments are important, don't get me wrong. Parents have the responsibility to take care of their children.

For many men, the idea of contributing either solely, or jointly for the upbringing of their children is fair and just, most fathers wish to help their children enjoy their childhood, and grow up in reasonable conditions, very few fathers wish their sons or daughters to go without.

However, in many circumstances back child support can be crippling. Many people find they are $5000, $10,000 or if you are like me, $23,000!

Sometimes our financial situations change, and i, like many other American men, and women found myself struggling to pay the contributions once i lost my job.

This debt acts more like a penalty or punishment. Often these debts arise from situations where one parent wasn't allowed to participate in the lives of their children; sometimes they didn't even realize they had children.

Other times arrears occurs because of financial crisis. People lose jobs, become temporarily disabled or have other reasons why they couldn't pay appropriate support even if they wanted to.

Unfortunately, the past has a long memory when it comes to child-support. Attorneys make millions every year convincing judges to retroactively require support.

I trawled the internet in search of someone else who may have been in a similar position, and whether or not they had found a solution, or a way of reducing this mounting and crippling debt. Sure enough, hidden away amongst much poor advice and moaning about an unfair system that does not take into account a father's rights, i found just the man i was looking for. Someone like me, that when faced with a seemingly impossible task, had somehow managed to accomplish it. If you've struggled with these issues, and owe back child support, there's a right way and a wrong way to get this debt eliminated.

My experience will help. I eliminated $23,000 in back child support, and that led me toward even more life-changing decisions.

I'd like to share this with others in my situation. I'll show you exactly how I was able to legally eliminate this back support arrearage and move forward with my life.
