Why Failure Is Not An Option

June 05, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 195

The most important secret of wealth preservation is to make peace with your fear of becoming poor. You can't control the economy. You can't control the forces that affect your business. But you can control your emotions. By making friends with fear, you will enjoy the wealth you have and make smart, wealth-building decisions.

To make friends with fear, you have to imagine yourself living a simple life, one that can be supported by a modest income, enjoying your work and the time you spend with your family and friends. Imagine that until you feel comfortable with it.

What is your idea of what wealth is?

For some people's wealth is financial. But for others, wealth can be just having friends and family they are close to. That is, wealth is what you perceive it to be. In this article we will be referring to wealth as financial, but it doesn't mean in the high income bracket. We will be referring to wealth as financial security and being able to secure the things that will help you live comfortably.

Employment determines your perceived wealth. For instance, someone making $20,000 per year would consider themselves wealthy based on their standard of living. For someone else, who makes $50,000 to $100,000 per year, they may look at that person as being poor.

I have been referencing the issue of wealth, the course from this point on, we will be referencing why failure is not an option.

Success is a mindset! When someone believes in themselves, they will succeed at what ever they choose to do. In this sense they believe that by having the right tools to succeed will help them make the right decisions when it comes to building a successful business.

If you believe you will fail, then you will fail. But if you believe you will be successful, then you will be successful. It is a conscious choice that we may not fail. For some people, success comes easily. For others, success is a struggle.

When a child grows up in a family where they supported him and encouraged him to be successful at whatever he chooses, then when he goes out in the world as an adult things come easy to him. For someone who comes from a family where they teach them to fail, rather than be successful, then much of this struggle is to learn to believe in himself first, and then put all the tools in place and learn how to become successful.

When someone believes they are a failure they won't even try to succeed. This is why it is important to understand where your self esteem comes from. When we believe in ourselves, then we have a strong self-image and a lot of self-esteem. When we have a poor self-image, then we have low self-esteem. By first learning about yourself and where your belief systems come from, then you can learn to believe in yourself and find the right tools to get you where you want in life.

I have been discussing this because we are now in an era of self-employment. in order to build a successful business, you not only need the right tools, but you also need to believe in yourself and your ability to succeed at what ever you choose to do.

This is important to understand because someone will stay in a job they hate and instead of trying to find a different job or starting their own business because of their fear of failure.

We are only a product of the home we come from. Instead of learning to believe in oneself, we will often let the family ties dictate how successful we are because always self-esteem and self image is tied into how others see us. We often need to learn to break those bonds and distance ourselves from our closest ties-- our families, because even though they mean well, they can be the one holding us back from succeeding in life.

When you don't have the family support systems in place, the best thing to do is find friends or distant relatives that will believe in you and supply to support systems needed to help you succeed in life.
