The Benefits and Pros of a Rambler or Ranch Style Home

July 02, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 193

If you have been looking for a home or real estate you might have imagined a traditional two story home, but if stairs are not your thing, why not consider a rambler.

Rambler homes are built on a single floor. They offer incredible convenience because your bedrooms, baths, laundry areas and living space are all right at your finger tips. One-story homes tend to offer owners great natural lighting. Large windows allow the sun to warm you on a chilly winter morning and offer a glimpse at the incredible Southern charm of tree lined streets and children playing.

Ranch style homes are often quite reasonably priced and can offer an exceptional value to buyers. Ramblers tend to be easily heated and cooled too. With an efficient furnace and air conditioner, costs can be less than the same square footage in a two story home.

Still need to be convinced? Imagine parking your car in your new two car garage and bringing your groceries into the home without stepping outside into the elements. Just open the door and you can stow away the next week's dinner in the fridge in no time.

Speaking of cooking, ramblers often have spacious kitchens with an abundance of cabinets. A well designed kitchen can save you precious time three times a day! Imagine serving up the dinner you prepared and serving it up in your formal dining room or even on a coffee table in your den. The options are endless in a rambler!

Ramblers are a great idea for families with small children as you won't have to worry about those baby gates falling, or drilling into your wall to install them. Ranch style homes are also perfect for the elderly. Many retirees don't like the hassle of running up and down stairs for laundry or any other reason. Most of the time, multi-level homes have the laundry on different levels than the bedrooms making laundry day pretty difficult, unless you are into getting your exercise!

Most places and cities around the country have a neighborhood that embraced the rambler at one point. In the 1970s, ramblers were very popular and buyers are vying for these types of homes.

Buying a rambler can be a great investment and can often get you great value for your money. Most ramblers are in smaller neighborhoods with more lot size and square footage to play with.

Find your ideal home and space in a rambler.
