April 09, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 168

So stressed out about having a thick layer of fat on your belly? Wanting to have an abs like those you have seen on the television? And wondered how long does it take you to actually have that abs you are aiming for - flat abs or six-pack abs maybe? Well, you sure know that it would not be as easy as counting 1-2-3. There is no magic that would let you have it in a snap. You can't just ask some Genie in a bottle "I want to have a six-pack abs like Taylor Lautner's" and -swoosh- you have it in an instant. And of course, you know that Genies don't exist so probably you now know it's not really easy at all.

Let me tell you this, there's no such thing as easy steps, not without hard work and discipline, and focus too. And you need the right exercise equipment as well to get the six pack abs. When your aim is getting an abs, no matter how hard it would be for you and no matter how long it would take, you have to pay the price in order for you to have it. As Sven, a puffin from Happy Feet Two movie, have said "If you want it, you must will it. If you will it, it will be yours." Then let the game on.

How long does it really take to have an abs? Actually, that really depends on the situation. If you're, let's say, a little overweight that would take months or years maybe. Having an abs is different from losing weight and the exercise equipment is also different. It would take a lot of working outs and you need to strive hard more for it. But first you must commit yourself; you must focus on your goal. No buts and whys. And set your mind on your goal but need not stress yourself out about it.

If you have been working out for too long now, and you feel like there's no result showing at all, maybe because you are doing it wrong or maybe you are doing the wrong exercises for getting abs. Most people think that abs exercises can help you get some abs but it doesn't. It is not true, it's mythical. So what kind of exercises do you need? It is called Cardio Exercises which are also called Aerobic Exercises. This type of exercises helps to strengthen your heart and lungs. There are different types of cardio exercises and exercise equipment and it depends which intensity you can do. A simple example of it is walking. You need not have to buy any exercise equipment to get six pack abs if you choose to. And you can do it anywhere at your available time. Make walking a habit. You can do other activities too such as running, swimming, bicycling and any other activities which require continuous movement of your body. If you have plenty of time, you may go to the gym and do the treadmills, exercise bikes or rowing machines or use other exercise equipment to get six pack abs. Or maybe enroll yourself into martial arts like kick boxing. Before doing these exercises, you should need to do a little warm up though, so to prepare your body for high intensity exercises. And make it at least 10-15 minutes of warm-up.

For too busy people out there, you might want to try running up and down on the stairs at home, make a dance routine or even do sit and reach. And don't forget to breathe well. This again shows you that you don't need exercise equipment to get six pack abs but having them certainly helps you to achieve your goal easier and much quicker as well.

Another exercise you can have is lifting weights or body-building exercises. You should not stop just with doing cardio-vascular exercises alone; it would be useless if you will not be lifting weights which would help to tighten up your muscles. Build up your muscles, that is. You can use barbell and dumbbells with different weights. And make sure you would be lifting up enough weights on a desired number of repetitions. You may want to increase the level of intensity in the long run. You may use jump ropes too to increase your endurance level. You can also do crunches, leg lifts, sit-ups, static holds etc. Do work-outs in 40-60 minutes three to six times a week. Perform interval training; you can do different set of repetitions every other day. Weight training makes use of several exercise equipments to get six pack abs for you.

And since that you are aiming for a six pack abs, this next step would really test how consistent you are on flattening up your abs and this is to have a diet - healthy diet. You should really be disciplined to work this out. You should commit yourself into changing your eating habits. Learn how to say "No" to foods that are not good for you. But you must also know that this will take a lot of effort in time, take it slowly and easy and your eating habits will eventually change in time. So what are those types of foods that you should be adding up in your healthy diet? Those are low-calorie foods, high-fiberfoods such as fruits and vegetables and low-protein foods. Shift your refined grains to whole grains. Drink a lot of water because it helps in cleansing your body. Eat breakfast and eat a little dinner. You need to plan out your diet and make a menu of what you are going to eat in a day. And one more thing, keep the metabolism steady. Getting a full rest and sleep is also needed for you to have a healthy body. Don't let yourself getting too stressed out.

Now that you have those steps, all you need to do is to abide with those steps. There is no shortcut on getting a six pack abs. It is quite difficult but if you really want it, then you can do it. Self-perseverance is a must. No matter how hard it gets in the long run, it will all be worth in the end. A little sacrifice won't hurt if it's really what you want. Think positively and never give up on something you really want. So how long does it really take to have an abs? Who knows, if you are really determined and consistent, you may actually have the perfect abs for you faster than you thought.
