As a small business counsellor, I am often asked for suggestions as to the best resources for various aspects of running a small business. As social media has evolved to become a key tool in any small business's integrated marketing campaign, I am increasingly asked by my clients what my suggestions are for appropriate resources that will get them up to speed with Twitter.

To assist my clients, I have reviewed an array of books to determine the pro's and cons of each. Here we review Twitter Power 2.0 - How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time by Social Media Strategist, Joel Comm.

Joel Comm is an entrepreneur, best selling author, public speaker and social media evangelist. As the leading authority on new media marketing tactics, Joel Comm recently released his latest book on using social media marketing, called Twitter Power 2.0.

In this book, Joel presents a step-by-step playbook on how to use social media as a leveraging tool to expand the reach of your brand, increase your customer base and create fierce brand loyalty for your business He offers an inspiring yet down-to earth call to action for those who dream of obtaining growth and financial success.

Comm takes the business owner through the basics of Twitter, explaining in easy to understand terms, what Twitter is, what it can do for your business, including the best explanation of the power of Twitter I have ever read.

This book includes a walk through of the sign-up process, and how to follow tweeps (twitter people) of interest.

It also gives takes a look at how to create an inviting twitter profile and how to link provide information that both creates interest and links into your existing internet business presence.

Comm explains how to use your mobile phone to tweet whilst you are away from your office, which is useful for solo business owners trying to maximise their productivity.

There is a fantastic coverage on how to build a following and the types of things you can use twitter for such as promotion, assistance, notifications and provision of information. But as Comm points out, the key benefit is to create a two-way interactive dialogue with your existing and potential customers.

Twitter Power 2.0 gives some insight into the art of the tweet within the 140 character limitation and how you can use it to help build up your following.

If you are a small business owner contemplating a twitter presence, I highly recommend Twitter Power 2.0 - How to dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time. Joel Comm will have you and your business on Twitter in no time, building a community and promoting your business in style.
