Grand Canyon Plane Flights

April 08, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 161

The Grand Canyon is made by the Colorado River in Arizona State, United States. It is part of the Grand Canyon National Park and was named one of the Seven Natural Wonders worldwide. It is 276 miles long, up to 17 miles wide and has a depth of almost a mile and it is the biggest of its kind in the entire world.

There is a lot of ground to cover in order to see a complete picture of the canyon. If you take Grand Canyon plane flights, you will enjoy for a couple of hours what will take you a month by walking. By choosing the plane, you will be able at the same time to take some astonishing pictures of the National Park that you are not able to do from the ground.

If you fly from Vegas to Grand Canyon West it will take up to 2.5 hours in order to explore the entire West Rim. You will be able to visit the Indian Cultural Village and to enjoy an authentic Indian vocal and dance show. You can see also Guano and Eagle observation points, two of the best lookout points from where you can feel the might of the Grand Canyon. You will deplane at a nearby airfield and take the shuttle to the glass bridge called the Sky Walk, which is suspended 4000 feet over the Colorado River and that is famous worldwide.

Another Grand Canyon plane flight tour is the most complete on the market and consists of an airplane, helicopter and boat. You will fly to the West Rim from Las Vegas and afterwards you will be transferred to the helicopter in order to descend to the bottom. After that, you will take the boat for a short ride. The helicopter will take you back and you will visit the Indian Cultural Center.

The South Rim air tour is the ultimate way to see the Grand Canyon National Park. The tour is only 50 minutes and will present to you the Painted Desert, Colorado River, Zuni Corridor and Desert Watchtower. Going over the North Rim you will go across Dragoon Corridor and after descend over Grand Canyon Village.

If you fly from Las Vegas, you have to choose from two rims: The South Rim and the West Rim. The South Rim is famous worldwide for its beauty and you can see it in almost all pictures that feature the Grand Canyon. The West Rim is faster to reach by plane and is famous for its helicopter descents.

For people coming from Las Vegas, the air tours usually come as all-inclusive, including a professional guide and pilot, breakfast, lunch and hotel pick up and drop off. If you choose to depart from South Rim, you must find a way to go to the airport. These airplane tours are a very popular destination, so don't make a last minute reservation. Use the booking system available online and pick the trip you want with at least one week in advance.

Travel writer Ione Mahler is infatuated with canyon air tours and recommends these airplane rides based on quality and price.
