I have enjoyed working with children the past ten years who have speech and language delays. Although I've worked with many different age groups, I especially enjoy working with toddlers. Toddlers are so excited and eager to work with me when I come to their home or daycare for speech therapy, and they often think of me as their friend who comes to play with them weekly. I choose to work with toddlers in their natural environment because I can get more out of them during each therapy session. Toddlers are usually more comfortable at home or at their daycare than if I saw them in an office.

I presently own my own therapy practice, Rebecca Hawkins & Associates, Ltd. in Savannah, Georgia. I work with private therapy clients and contract with Georgia's early intervention program, Babies Can't Wait, which serves children age birth to three. I have a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science degree in Communicative Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
