Xenia Horne

Professional musician : harpist, singer, pianist, composer, director of Musicmakers UK and UK Harpists, experienced in all types of music from early and medieval court music, through to contemporary work. Musicmakers UK was founed in 1990, to provide qualified musicians new opportunities for performance. Since then, the company have provided hundreds of artists to events ranging from birthday parties and family celebrations, to major product launches, and working with companies including L'Occitane to provide music for store openings and client entertainment.

Xenia has worked in theatre and as a freelance musician since graduating from Dartington College of Arts. She has recorded for film and TV as well as radio productions. Her harp is a white maple concert grand, and she also plays the Celtic harp. As well as working as a musician, she works for Arts Council England as an Artistic Assessor (theatre), for Trinity College London (assessor) and for Tribal as an inspector. She has written several articles for Sounding Board, SoundSense magazine and also reviews books for the organisation.
