In the five years to follow they would complete the initial work and get the park on a profitable footing. It was at this time that they changed the name to 'Hokitika Holiday Park' as it is now known. In 1990 Ron bought his brother out of the Park and then closed down his own building business to move into the Park as a full time owner/manager.

Ron met his wife in 1992 and married her in 1994. In 1996 they had their first child, a daughter, followed by twin sons in 1998. The park keeps both Ron and his wife employed full time and at the peak of their seasons they manage a staff of up to nine part time workers.
