Laura Ramirez is the author of the award-winning book, Keepers of the Children: Native American Wisdom and Parenting. It is the only parenting book that combines ancient native concepts with heart-centered psychology to teach parents how to raise children to develop their strengths and unfold their spiritual nature. According to Laura, "Parenting is a path of mutual self- discovery because as you take the time to look deeply into your child's heart, you see more clearly into your own. Laura believes that parenting is not about shaping your children into "this or that," but guiding them to discover who they already are.

Laura is available for speaking engagements and interviews on radio, television or in print. She teaches an online parenting class and classes via teleseminar. Laura is a Club Mom Expert.

She is also the publisher of Family Matters Parenting Magazine which features articles about the core issues today's parents face from understanding child development and discipline to dealing with school violence. The magazine has a special focus on issues related to raising biracial and multiracial children.

Laura makes her home in the sage-dotted Nevada foothills with her husband, Larry, a Pascua Yaqui Native American man and her two spirited and delightful boys, Dakotah and Colt.
