Karen Switzer-Howse, Founder and Principle of Quest'Ar Pathways, addresses the needs of to-days scientific and technical communities to more effectively connect with and achieve their desired results when working with and through others.

Karen grew up on a farm in Ontario, Canada, and developed a deep and abiding love and respect for nature, which resulted in her becoming an environmental biologist. Through a variety of jobs working in research environments in England, Canada and the U.S., she very quickly discovered the real key to success and getting the right results lay in developing her communication and interpersonal skills. She honed these skills in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, working in research, adult education, public advocacy, policy development, group facilitation, fundraising, organizational and Board development, public relations, seminar and workshop development and presentation, as well as business and alliance development and marketing. She also participated in numerous interventions and Board hearings, both as Intervener and witness, at local, provincial and national levels. Her ability to remain calm and in control under stress and in times of change earned her the respect of leaders from many sectors.

The knowledge gained from these experiences, combined with a high degree of curiosity around what makes people 'tick', makes her especially effective in helping scientists and technical experts achieve better results in less time with less stress in to-day's complex, diverse working environments.

Whether you are a company owner or project manager who wants to learn how to improve your bottom line results by creating great work environments or a science-based professional wanting to further your career, Karen can show you how to improve your communication and interpersonal skills in a way that makes sense to you.
