Alan is known as the Armenian Genealogist, since he has spent more than five decades researching Armenian family history and immigration to the U.S. He has tracked more than 200 of his own relatives' immigrant travels, and has compiled data on the first 750 Armenians who immigrated to America (between 1618 and 1885). Alan specializes in Armenian name translations, as well as photographic dating.
