I am a native Mississippian, who earned my Ph.D. in communication from Ohio University, taught at the University of Georgia, and then spent 23 years in management as vice president of three colleges and a medical center.

In 1997, I launched my communication consulting and speech coaching company, Championship Communication.

My motto: "Helping You Finish in First Place!"

I have served top-tier clients, such as Celebrity Cruises, Ritz-Carlton Cancun, Gillette, Procter and Gamble, Duracell, University of Georgia Athletic Association, British Columbia Legal Management Association, Missouri Bar, Miller Brewing Company, Krystal Company, and CenturyTel.

Among those who have interviewed me: Investor's Business Daily, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Gannett News Service, Cosmopolitan, Entrepreneur, and Working Mother.

Book author: The Complete Communicator: Change Your Communication, Change Your Life!

Drawing from my own management experience, I help corporations break through their communication barriers, through a customized training program that starts with DISC and then follows up with extensive confidential interviews. As a Speech Coach, I help leaders speak with "poise, passion, and power."

My articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines, including the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Indianapolis Star, The State (Columbia, SC), Fund Raising Management, The Rotarian, Toastmasters, Sales and Marketing Management, Presentations, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Competitive Advantage, Business Know-How, and Expert Magazine.

I embrace non-print media also, having hosted my own radio show in different cities. My book developed from a six month radio program I hosted. As for TV, I have been a guest on P.M. Magazine, many other programs, and recorded two commercials.

You can watch my self-produced videos on You Tube and on my video blog, The Complete Communicator.

On the personal side, I have been an avid golfer since age thirteen, have two hole in one trophies, and served as guest broadcaster for the Atlanta Golf Classic. My favorite spectator sport: college football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs.

Let's communicate, soon.
