Dr. Judith Pearson is a mental health counselor, psychotherapist and life coach practicing in Northern Virginia. Her private practice is Motivational Strategies, where she offers individual counseling and coaching in health-related concerns, emotional issues, habit control, sports psychology, enhanced performance, phobias, insomnia, and stress management. She holds a Ph.D. from Catholic University (1983) and is a licensed counselor (since 1980). She is certified in and specializes in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (Master Practitioner and Trainer) and Hypnotherapy. She is Executive Director of the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists, where she hold the title: Diplomate.

She has taught in the Webster University Masters level program in Counseling and holds a subcontract with Ceridean Lifeworks for employee assistance program counseling and MilitaryOneSource. She has specialized certification and training in Post-traumatic Stress, Crisis Debriefing, Crisis Intervention, Motivation, Phobias and Anxiety.

She is a free-lance writer who has published over 100 self-help articles and book reviews in magazines, newsletters, and web sites. She speaks to groups on topics such as Self-Hypnosis, Mind Management, Motivation, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Public Speaking, Smoking Cessation, and Personal Growth issues. She is a member of Toastmasters International where she has held many offices, won numerous speaking competitions and holds the title: Distinquished Toasmaster. She recently joined the Washington D.C. Chapter of the National Speakers Association.
