Lisa is a Registered Nurse, author and recovering pageant queen, who spreads hope with her Get REAL approach to wellness. She empowers women, caregivers and groups to unleash their fullest potential by helping them to see their true beauty and discover their REAL value.

Frustrated with what she saw in today's reactive healthcare model, Lisa left nursing to pursue a proactive career in wellness promotion. She devotes her time to helping people stay healthy and fit, thus not needing to enter the healthcare system.

She feels passionate about spreading this message of hope and acceptance to help others be PROactive about their health and not simply REactive. Lisa uses her enthusiasm to inspire people to value and appreciate who they are. She helps people build a bridge from where they are, to where they want to be.

Today society moves so fast! Busyness and distraction drive people to do more and more and enjoy it less and less. Lisa knows first-hand the pressures to be thin, attractive and to do it all. Going from a former pageant queen to a working wife and mother of three active boys, Lisa illustrates how life is full of change.

Through her own journey of self-criticism and guilt, she emerged with a new philosophy...It is time to Get REAL! Lisa teaches from the powerful life lessons she learned through struggling with weight and body image issues.

Lisa Schilling is the author of "The Get REAL Guide to Health & Fitness-FIVE STEPS to Create Your Own Personal Wellness Plan." She is also the creator of the "Get REAL A.C.E.S." chair exercise DVD series and writes a weekly newspaper column "Wellness Matters," which is broadcast on the radio as a PSA. Now a sought after speaker, Lisa's humorous and refreshing point of view resonates with audiences and sparks their internal motivation.

Lisa has been featured nationally on the Lifetime network's "The Balancing Act." She has created two full-day wellness seminars that she travels to share with audiences across the country. ("Worship & Wellness" and "Wellness Matters")
