Sally Court graduated from the Inchbald School of Design (London) and established Courtyard Garden Design in 1988. In 1995 she became a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers and was elected a Fellow in 2001.

She has received 14 awards for show gardens, most recently the RHS Silver Gilt Medal for "Down the Bright Stream" at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in 2004.

A member of the Garden Writers Guild, Sally is the author of "The Modern Garden Makers" (Ward Lock 1999) and "Roses in Modern Gardens" (Mitchell Beazley 2004). She featured in "British landscape designers and their creations" (Stitchling Kunstboek 2004).

A visiting lecturer at the Inchbald School of Design, Sally also gives talks on Garden Design in America, where she is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.

Recent Activity

The deep freeze is not the only time of year that causes mayhem in the garden. A very warm spring like last year when May was the best "summer" month brings plants on too fast and out of season.
