The best I could tell you about my business career is that its eclectic. After graduating from college, I believed that there was only one path to "getting your ticket punched" and that was through the gates of Harvard Business School. Little did I know working as a junior investment analyst, I had more in common with this hawk that used to fly around. After the "nice try letter" from Harvard, I jumped into venture capital hoping that was the cure for club entry and it all changed. I woke up each morning feeling completely lost with no life compass. I didn't realize that the panic attacks were nothing more than a massive wake up call to just be me! The day I walked away from corporate America, I started to refocus by reading, working hard and taking better care of myself. I got lost in Napoleon Hill and other success teachers like Maxwell Maltz realizing I was at heart a coach. When asked to describe my life purpose, I simply reply it is to use my God given ability to teach simple wisdom to open minded people to help them overcome their obstacles to become the best they can be! With my newfound compass, I worked in my family business while dabbling in real estate development and flips. Suffering through small business ups and downs, I moved into real estate sales in 1999 and became the ultimate real estate agent apprentice. Studying directly under Craig Proctor the 2x ReMax #1 agent, I jumped quickly to the #7 Realty Executives agent worldwide and went on to found Danny Griffin Real Estate, now more appropriately known as the Griffin Realty Group. Since 2006, I've had the privilege to coach thousands of real estate agents from newbies to real top producers like Paul Rushforth from Keller Williams. Fortunately, I've been exposed directly to real movers and shakers in the industry including Gary Keller (founder of Keller Williams), Dave Liniger (founder of ReMax) and Allan Dalton (former CEO of I've learned from them and emerged compelled to help real estate agents run better businesses and live happier lives. The thrill I feel when coaching agents, buyers and sellers has inspired me to take up the pen or the keyboard and share my insights. At the end of the day I just think life is simpler than we make it.
