Joseph S. Spence, Sr., is the author of The Awakened One Poetics (2009), which is published in seven different languages. He is the co-author of two poetry books, A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose and Thoughts for the Mind, Body and Soul (2005), and Trilogy Moments for the Mind, Body and Soul, (2006), which won the 2009 Best Christian Poetry Award from Christian Story Tellers.com. He is the inventor of "Epulaeryu Poetry," which focuses on international succulent dishes, drinks, and cuisines. He is also the inventor of the "Seventh Heaven" poetry form. His publications are in various forums including: World Haiku Association, Möbius Haiku, Word Catalyst , Phoenix Magazine, The Rubicon, Joyful, and Taj Mahal Review. Joseph is a Goodwill Ambassador for the state of Arkansas, USA, and is a recipient of the 2006 Poetry Ambassador Medal from the International Library of Poetry. He is a faculty member at Milwaukee Area Technical College and has completed over twenty years of service with the U.S. Army. Joseph is also called the "Epulaeryu Master."
