For as long as I can remember my life has always been infused with the arts. From being woken up in the morning to musical theatre songs that my dad would blast in the place of an alarm clock, to my first starring role in grade one as the scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, my connection to the arts has always run deep.

Growing up, I played violin and piano, had dance training in a variety of styles and was heavily involved in an improv theatre troupe. There was also a time where becoming a professional actor was the goal, so on-camera acting training and interviews with agents were the norm. In high school my focus shifted and I got the opportunity to step backstage and take on a directing role for our senior class production of Spring Awakening. I loved it! I loved being able to coach actors and help them discover the characters they were trying to become.

When it came time to consider higher education, my directing bug transformed from behind the stage to behind the camera, as I entered York University's Film Production program.

The arts was clearly going to be my career path and there were many careers....

I worked in Film & Television, taught Musical Theatre for 11 years in Canada and the USA, worked behind the scenes at Film Festivals, worked as an arts administrator and founded and directed two arts summer camps.

Along the way, I received a degree in Psychology as well as post-graduate certificates in Arts Administration/Cultural Management and Children's Mental Health.

I am currently the Founder and Executive Director of Horizon Arts Camp, a professional performing and visual arts camp in Toronto, Canada.
