I am a retired teacher and specialist in special education. My training, expertise, and experience includes a focus on learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders. I worked as a resource teacher, a teacher in a residential school for severely LD students, a provincial consultant in learning disabilities, and a speaker and workshop leader.

After retirement I worked as a counsellor/consultant for parents, a speaker, and an area coordinator of a federal program for adults with learning disabilities. This was for the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada. And most recently, I worked for an international school in Sweden as a special education teacher for struggling students.

About 90% of my work as a teacher/counsellor/advocate was directly with students from elementary grades to college and university levels, and with adults.
