Anxiety also called as worry is a psychological and physiological state characterized by somatic, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components. It is a feeling of fear and concern. Anxiety is considered to be a normal reaction of the body to stress. It may somehow help an individual to deal with a demanding situation by prompting the body to cope with it. When anxiety or worry becomes excessive, it is then classified as an anxiety disorder. The symptoms of anxiety includes the following: excessive worry and tension, an unrealistic view of problems, restlessness, irritability, muscle tension, headaches, sweating, difficulty to focus or concentrate, nausea, tiredness, having trouble falling or staying asleep, trembling, and being easily startled.

Anxiety can be categorized to the following: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agora Phobia, Specific Phobia, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

GAD or generalized anxiety disorder can be characterized by excessive anxiety and worry that is out of natural proportion. This anxiety is the most common condition in the types of anxiety. Social Anxiety Disorder is a persistent irrational fear of situations in which the person may be closely watched and judged by others. A person then becomes fearful of social situations in which they may be subject to the scrutiny of other people.

Panic Disorder is an unpredictable attack of anxiety that is commonly accompanied by physiological manifestations. People who are experiencing this disorder often undergo medical evaluations for symptoms related to heart attacks or other medical conditions before the diagnosis of panic disorder is made. Attacks may last from minutes to hours and then the person often lives in fear of another attack. Panic attacks can occur at any time, even while at sleep.

Agora Phobia is an abnormal fear of being helpless in an embarrassing or inescapable situation that is commonly characterized by the avoidance of open or public places. People with this condition may become house bound for years thus resulting impairment of social and interpersonal relationships.

Specific Phobia is a persistent fear of objects or situations. When these situations or objects appear, they can produce immediate and severe symptoms of anxiety. PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric illness that can occur following a traumatic event, in which there is the threat of injury or death to you or someone else. OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a condition wherein the person suffering uses ritualistic and repeated behaviors to rid themselves of obsessive thoughts and anxieties.

Herbal remedy for Anxiety is a great way to treat any types of anxiety. This treatment is proven to be safe and effective because it usually used to induce sleep making the person to recover from physical and mental fatigue. It will then make the person more calm thus making the behavioral character of the person to improve. Anxiety must be dealt with accordingly so it is best that proper treatment is given to the person with this condition. Proper treatment can only be given to a person with anxiety by knowing the type of anxiety and also assessing the severity of the anxiety. The key to the success in treatment lies with the proper diagnosis of the anxiety condition since treatment varies according to the type of anxiety that is manifested by the individual.
